This small book springs out of our therapeutic work singing and playing for our patients and a desire to provide a beginning for those who feel uncertain about how to accompany the voice in a beautiful, but simple way.

Each song has a “lead sheet” with melody note, chord symbol and lyrics and then an arrangement for Harp with Voice.

This book includes traditional Gregorian Chant notation/neumes as well as a lead sheet in western notation, with chord symbols and Latin lyrics and a brief history of Saint Hildegard.

The book is organized so that the neume notation is on the left side of the page facing the western notation on the right. Translation of the Latin text is included. Performance notes are included with each piece to show when these have been used in Church worship, although due to their beauty, they can be sung at anytime.

Pastor Animarium has an added Instrumental version.
